Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

 Dry Needling

Dry needling involves solid filament needles (similar to those used in acupuncture), which are placed into the trigger point to produce a local twitch response (LTR). The needles are very thin and rarely felt entering the skin. The LTR is therapeutically essential for treatment because it is followed by a period of reflexive relaxation of the muscle. When a person experiences an LTR, they will often feel a cramping sensation or discomfort in the referral pattern of the muscle lasting a few seconds.

  • Decreased muscle pain and soreness
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Increased flexibility

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which a therapist creates a suction and negative pressure on the skin with suction cups. There are many benefits associated with cupping which include, but are not limited to:

- helps with pain and inflammation

- loosens muscles

- encourages blood flow

- and helps calm the nervous system

Other ailments treated are migraines, high blood pressure, neck and back pain, arthritis pain, anxiety, and much more.

Botox Cosmetic Injections

Effective in Eliminating:

  • Moderate to Severe
  • Crow’s Feet
  • Frown Lines
  • Forehead Lines
  • Migraines

Unlike many options for wrinkle correction, BOTOX® is a non-surgical procedure. It is an injectable and is only minimally invasive. While plastic surgery is quite effective, it carries with it the downside of increased risk of complications and a longer recovery time. For those looking to avoid surgery, injectables are excellent solutions.

BOTOX® is different from other injectables. Most injectable treatments are soft-tissue fillers that create immediate volume in the tissues. Rather that increasing skin volume, BOTOX® instead focuses on relaxing the muscles to smooth out the skin of the face. This makes the face appear more youthful.

Fine lines and wrinkles form for many reasons, and one of the biggest contributing factors is overuse of the underlying muscles. People frequently repeat the same facial movements(like chewing and laughing) and expressions (like frowning and smiling); this causes the muscles to contract and stay contracted.

When muscles are contracted in this way, it becomes more difficult for them to relax back into a resting state, Contracted muscles disrupts the placid surface of the skin, causing the formation of the wrinkles.

BOTOX® resolves these wrinkles. Along with frown lines, glabellar lines, and crow's feet, BOTOX® can also be used to resolve many other facial wrinkles. Lipstick lines near the lips, chin wrinkling, and vertical neck bands are all treatable with the help of BOTOX®.

At the start of the procedure, the areas that are targeted for treatment are carefully marked. The administration of BOTOX® consist of injecting small amounts of the mild toxin into the muscles causing deep facial lines. These muscles are habitually contracted due to years of clenching and relaxing to form various expressions. BOTOX® dampens nerve impulses by blocking the muscles' acetylcholine receptors. When the muscles are not repeatedly triggered to move, this allows these muscles to relax.

You may experience slight irritation or redness in the treatment areas  but may return to your regular lifestyle immediately. Because this treatment is so quick and requires no recovery time, it is very convenient and is perfect for busy professionals. BOTOX® is frequently called a "lunchtime procedure."

Most patients do not require pain in medication, though some may experience mild discomfort at the injection site. Total treatment time is about 10-15 minutes, depending on the patient.

The result of BOTOX® injections usually takes effect in five to seven days. In the time immediately following your injections, it will be best to protect the treated areas from heavy sun.

The benefits of BOTOX® should last for about three to four months, though you may experience benefits for a slightly longer or shorter period. You may repeat treatment whenever lines and wrinkles again become prominent, but discontinuing BOTOX® treatment may allow your lines and to again become notable. Additional treatments have been seen to have a cumulative effect on age lines.

Localized Cryotherapy

A handheld device that sprays a cryogenic nitrogen gas to target specific areas of the body that are inflamed or causing pain. The sub-zero temperature treats specific muscles and joints and soothes the injured or inflamed areas. Cryotherapy helps heal by constricting the blood vessels and allowing oxygen-rich blood to be delivered to injured areas, which in return will decrease inflammation and pain. It can be compared to icing or immersion cold water, but without the feeling of discomfort, and it has been shown to be a more immediate and effective treatment.

Not only is Cryotherapy good for pain relief and injuries, but it is also good for beauty treatments and has mental health benefits.

We offer Cryofacials, which have many benefits:

  • Helps remove the outer dead layer of skin cells
  • Stimulates new cell growth by increasing circulation and collagen
  • Shrinks pores
  • Increases cell turnover
  • Tightens skin
  • Decreases facial swelling (even sinus inflammation)
  • Improves tone and texture

Localized cryotherapy is recommended by physical therapists and doctors for the following: sprains, strains, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, unexplained swelling, swelling of the knees, arthritis in the hands, headaches, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, postsurgical swelling, athletic injuries with swelling, and more.

Compression Boot Therapy

Compression Boot Therapy is designed to improve venous circulation in the limbs. We offer compression boot sessions that will reduce inflammation and fluid collection, help remove toxins such as lactic acid, improve blood circulation, relieve conditions such as heaviness in legs, help avoid development of cellulite, and can prevent and eliminate the first stage of varicose veins.
