Dr.Emerson Cochran
Dr. Emerson Cochran, M.D. has been a licensed Medical Doctor since 1959.
Dr. Cochran has been freeing people from pain since 2006 at A Family Practice. As a Medical Doctor with a great amount of experience, he is committed to promoting the health and well being of his patients.
Dr. Cochran has been practicing medicine for many years. He has worked in several different hospitals and facilities. After graduating from medical school, he completed an internship at Baroness Earlanger Hospital. He then moved to Jacksonville, Florida to begin his general surgery residency at Duvall Medical Center. During his general surgery residency, he was drafted into the Navy. He served in the Navy for almost three years. Once he was discharged, he resumed his residency in general surgery, completing it by 1966. He practiced surgery in Marietta, Georgia for over 20 years. He then became Chief of Surgery for 3 years at Kennestone Hospital. In 1991, he was called into active duty for Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He recieved the Meritirious Service Medal from the United State Air Force. In 1996, he retired from United States Air Force as a Lt. Colonel after twenty years of service. Dr. Cochran has been a part of our staff for over 12 years and enjoys working in a family setting .He also enjoys attending church and
traveling for missionary work to Coban, Guatemala. He is married with four children and eight grandchildren.Diploma - Decatur Boys High School - 1952
